beautiful job - and i am sure the rest of your family will agree!

I'm currently living in the house my grandma had before she went into resididential care (my mum owns the house, my grandma has alzheimers  and can't look after herself anymore) so i sort of know how you feel - i use her old room as my sewing room now which seems apt because she got me my first sewing machine.

I just have to say that this is the most awesome piece of furniture I think I have ever seen!  It is just gorgeous!  I have always wanted to do something like that and now I am so intimidated!   LOL  Great work, I love it!

How GLORIOUS it looks! What an eye you must have to take advantage of that piece's curious ideosyncrasies to make it so wonderful!

This is amazing. I hardly had the patience to stain a small coffee table, I can't imagine doing anything on that scale, plus all the details, but I want to now.

This is beautiful!  I love both the dresser and the story that goes with it.

A couple years ago my husband lost his grandmother to Alzheimer's.  We have a few things from her home that we just love - because they remind us of her and partially because things back them were built to last. Smiley

Incredible work, wonderful story.  What a treasure.  Using dowels for creating the design is awesome.  So glad I saw this.  Inspired by both your grandmother story and your creativity.

That really is amazing and looks like so much work! What a way to honor your grandmother! Beautiful story and equally beautiful piece. Enjoy it! You deserve to after all of that hard work!!!   Grin

Wow.  So striking, and definitely not what I expected.  I love it.  I really, really love it.  And I'm sure your grandkids will love it when they clean your apartment many years from now.  Smiley
