Wow, this is just absolutely beautiful, just a wonderful homage to your grandmother!  The piece is so unique in itself, and you've made it absolutely stunning! Smiley

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

Wow--awesome! Love the rich dark color and the bursts made from dowels is breathtaking. What a great way to honor your grandmother, recycle a solid piece of furniture and make it your own.

That must have taken forever, but the effect is striking and beautiful.    I love it!!

There are two sides to a trumpeter's personality.  There is the one that lives only to lay waste to the woodwinds and strings, leaving them lying blue and lifeless along the swath of destruction that is the trumpeter's fury.  And then there's the dark side.

Wow, it's stunning! A fantastic tribute to your grandmother as well. My boyfriend is not usually interested in Craftster, but this is the first thing he's seen that he loves, he actually stopped playing Final Fantasy to look.
