what lovely pieces! they're both great but as i've got no need for a bikini (trust me!), i'd like a tute for the neckpiece...

and i'm notorious for posting messages and forgetting the links too Grin

thanks. my first post ever.

here's the tute for the neckpiece. you need to attache the flowers as you make them , to the strands. the leaves are pretty basic.

1. dark green no.10 cotton thread, no.10 cotton thread of various colors and a 1.75 mm crochet hook.

2. with the dark green, make three strands of increasing lengths. for eg, the first strand can be 75 ch, the second strand - 100 ch, the third strand 125 ch.

3. Flowers. Make the adjustable loop and in it, 12 single crochet (double crochet for the brits out there!) slip stitch into first sc.
1 ch, *(1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc) in the next st, 1 sc in next stitch* rep from * till last cluster of stitches - 1hdc, 1 dc, sl st into strand (anywhere you would like to place the flowers really) 2dc, 1hdc and then sl st into ch at beg of round.

continue to make flowers and attaching them to the strands at various place, mine were randomly placed.

3. Leaves - the leaves are placed in between the flowers on the strand and attached with sl st to the strand.

ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook, 2 hdc in next 2 ch, 1dc in next ch, 2 hdc in next two ch, 3 sc in the last ch, over onto the other side of the foundation ch, 2 hdc in next 2 ch, 1 dc in next ch, 2 hdc in next 2 ch, 1 sc in next ch, sl st into strand and into the first ch at beg of row.

i used approx 12 flowers (3 on first strand, 4 on the second and 5 on the third) and 9 leaves.

4. tie the strands together into a knot on both sides and you can add a clasp, or just tie the neckpiece round your neck!

hope this is clear! please let me know if you find any difficulty in these instructions.

Hah! That would be me too. My husband looked over my shoulder, wondering why I was looking at a photo of an attractive female chest, and I'm like, "I'm looking at the flower necklace!"

It is very pretty, thanks for the tute!
