So, it's only taken me a few months to finish this thing... but here is my version of the piggy.  I call him "pig from hell" because I had a hell of a time with it!!

And here's a profile:

All in all, I don't think he turned out so bad for my first amigurimi and one of my first crochet projects.  I think next time I make him I will do a ten times better job with all I learned from this little guy!

Thanks for looking!  More details on my blog:

awww, sweetie, it looks fine!  Where I don't embroider, I use puffy paint, so if the nostrils give you trouble, just "pick them out"  (pun intended)  and paint them on.  I'm sorry you had such a tough time!  Making amigurumi does get easier, though.  Just keep practicing!

Thanks for the support!  Painting the nostrils on is a fabulous idea!!  Funny thing about the nostrils, I haven't embroidered in a few years and when I did the first one I did the french knot naturally, just like riding a bike.... then on the second one I thought about it too much and I couldn't remember how to do it for the life of me!  How funny is that?  I had to go dig up an embroidery book and look it up.

Oh, and in the midst of my frustration I completely forgot to thank you for coming up with this darling project!!  Your pattern was easy to follow, even for me as an extreme beginner to crochet!  So, thanks!!

P.S.  So what exactly is the definition of amigurimi?  Anyone?
