Hi1 I saw on Knitty Gritty how to dye yarn to make it self-striping, but I can't seem to find the directions on the diy website. Do any of you know how to do it or where I can find directions? (I watch it at 6am on hgtv and wasn't awake enough, I guess, to pay complete attention) Thanks!

Eunny has a good tutorial here: http://www.eunnyjang.com/knit/2005/12/techniques_selfstriping_yarn.html

There's also this page on DIY's website, if the show you're referring to is the one where they used a warping board, plastic wrap, and sponges to create that really pretty green/magenta yarn:

However, Eunny Jang's tutorial is much more detailed; the show's page is more a reminder of what was demonstrated on the show.
