No power in the verse can stop me

I found a free pattern to make a poncho with lion brand Incredible yarn, which is more like ribbon than yarn but i digress. I didn't really like how the poncho looked, so I decided to just make my own with the same yarn. I think it turned out pretty nice, although i made it a little too big so I had to put a little tie onto it to keep it from falling off my shoulders.

Thanks for looking!

That turned out lovely!  What size hook did you use?

i used an N hook. it was pretty hard to hold after doing a project with a G hook, but it worked well with the ribbon yarn.

That is so pretty!  My mom made me ponchos to wear when I was a wee-one.  Your pics remind me how much I still love them.  How many balls of the ribbon yarn did you use?  Plus, do you have any tips on washing and drying?

I used almost 6 balls of the Incredible yarn. Luckily I found it when it was on sale for only 2 bucks a ball. As for washing it, I haven't tried to yet but the instructions on the label for the yarn say hand wash and don't machine dry so it looks like it's gonna be a project in it self to clean it.

It does a little bit in the very top front, but as long as I keep the tie loose it's not very noticable.

I'm glad you all like it  Cheesy

2 bucks a ball is a great price.  After reading that I went to my local Michaels and low and behold they had it for 2 dollars each, too!  Said they were closing out.  Yikes, I wonder if it's just them not wanting to carry it or if the manufacturer isn't going to make it anymore?
