I decided to relieve my political frustrations as of late by... yes, you guessed it... crafting! So here's some pics. They're really simple (I'm more of a sewer than a jewelry person) but I think it works with the watch really well. The blue/green strands are labradorite, which I love, not only because the basic color is awesome but I love looking at the orange and blue flecks in the sunlight -- it reminds me of the way sunlight and moonlight reflects off of water... cheesy I know but it's really pretty. Plus I get a kick out of the fact that labradorite is feldspar, which along with the other feldspars makes up 60% of the Earth's crust - so even really common things can be beautiful... yeah yeah, also cheesy. They're just strung on clear elastic. The alphabet beads are strung on 1/8" shock cord with ScotchLite (not just utilitarian - it sparkles!) from REI. The phrase is "reality based American" which would mean something to those here that read the NYTimes.  But the phrase isn't important as obviously alphabets can be arranged to say anything; the idea is to make a bracelet that says more about me than just my name  Tongue Sorta the equivalent of a 1" button for your wrist  Wink  I'm really a big fan of elastic bracelets though - much easier to put on in the morning than those little lobster clasps  Undecided

Hi katecygnar,
I am new here. I love your "Reality Based American" bracelet. I should make one to relieve my political frustrations, too.  I am also a fan of stretchy bracelets. I make stretchy beaded watches.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks! I fixed it up a bit, I bought actual spacer beads instead of just using jump rings and glued the ends into a long spacer bead. Much more "finished" look now.
