The New York City Craft Mafia is hosting its first ever craft event... Attack of the Craft Swap Thing!!

Yes, we're throwing a craft supply swap on Saturday May 12th from 12-4PM. The swap will be held at Archangela, a shoe boutique in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, located at 340 Bedford Avenue, btwn South 2nd and South 3rd Sts. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The goal of the event is to help fellow crafters do a little spring de-stashing of their crafting supplies and pick up some awesome new supplies in the process.

Attendees will bring supplies of any crafting variety to be swapped along with the $5 door charge. They will then hand off their supplies, receive a large shopping bag, and be let loose to fill their bags with whatever wonderment of craftiness they can find. Anyone wishing to attend with no supplies to swap will pay a $20 door charge, there will be a treasure trove of goods to be sure! As they say, one crafter's trash is another crafter's treasure!

The first 50 swappers will get a gift bag with swag from our sponsors, including Bust Magazine, Fred Flare, Craft: Magazine, The Fashion Journal, Greenwich House Pottery, and more! ha i swear there is no catch! we have stuff to get rid of and we know you do too! I can promise you at 12noon there will be fabric, yarn and sculpey (b/c thats what I know i am personally bringing). Please do come, it will be a ton and a half of fun!

Also, we are donating whatever is left at the end of the swap to Materials for the Arts, which is a cool charity that provides art supplies to artists and schools in the NYC area!
