don't be deterred by the tofu-i promise no one will ever guess it's there. Wink

PEANUT BUTTER PIE

in a food processor (or strong blender), combine:

8 oz. peanut butter, any kind
3/4 pkg. mori-nu tofu (silken, soft)
3/4 cup sugar or brown sugar

whip it up for a few minutes so it gets smooth 'n fluffy.

pour it into a graham cracker or chocolate cookie crust (store bought for extra-ease).

sprinkle with fun stuff-chocolate/peanut butter chips, chocolate shavings, etc.

chill for an hour or so (or freeze til firm for an ice-cream-y pie).

enjoy! Cheesy

I'm in love with that idea! It's like making peanut butter mousse. I made a chocolate mousse in a very similar way. My mom and I are huge peanut butter fans, especially if chocolate is involved Smiley

This gives me ideas to make a tofu Resses ripoff pie... maybe my picky boyfriend would even like it!

I trick people all the time.  And I don't believe it is wrong.  If you like it, you like whether its made with tofu or full fat cream cheese.  It is not like you gave them something yummy and then announced it was made with kittens and puppies or something they are allergic too.  People are so rigid with food sometimes that they miss out on truly delicious and healthy dishes.

I do agree, booglass.

I'm suprised people complain about something being made with tofu... it's so healthy and the taste is non-existent. Strange strange people.

I just wanna jump in here and add that you MUST use the silken or soft style tofu, if you use the fresh tofu that comes packaged in water it tastes too strong and can wierd people out.  so it is important to use the silken kind.
