I wanted to share some Sophie Bags I made awhile ago.  I like how this pattern is a really quick knit, and you can finish it up in a day!  I haven't decided what I'll do with these bags, I may end up giving them as gifts!

Pattern: Sophie Bag by Julie Anderson, for www.magknits.com
Yarn: Patons SWS (Left, Vero Tweed by Naturally (Right)

The Patons SWS version is made according to the pattern, for the Vero version I went up a needle size to US11.  I also knit 3 i-cords on the Vero version for the handle and braided them, instead of just the two twisted i-cords.

I felted both these by hand, because my washing machine must have the wussiest agitation cycle ever.  Luckily both these yarns felted up fast!

Very pretty!  You are keeping one for yourself, aren't you?  They look like a nice size, too.

Thanks!  They're a pretty good size, but I looooove big bags so I'm not sure they're quite big enough for me Smiley

Those colours are so gorgeous. If you are giving them out as gifts, I'll take the pink one, thanks  Wink

They are both beautiful!  How many skeins of the sws paton's did you use?

I used exactly 2 skeins, after knitting the body I knit the two I-cords for the handles at the same time from opposite ends of my remaining skein and knit until it was all gone!  It worked out perfectly.  Cheesy

Very pretty!  I love how the stripes worked out too!

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.
