I do cement sculpture, ferrocement, mosaic, paint, crochet and paper mache. What about you? You know the Gallery promenade is coming up in September. That should be interesting.

Well I live about an hour and a half from Lake Charles in Fort Polk/Leesville.  What's the gallery promenade you're talking about?

Wow!  What kinds of things do you make, fraught?
I am kinda into everything: rubberstamping, some jewelry making, beginner to sewing, just getting into hand embroidery, always doing a home decor project (or trying to boss someone else around and tell them what to do in their house), etc.

In the fall it's the gallery promenade, in the spring it's the art walk, either way all the galleries in town have openings and some local establishments also host some art for the event.  Very good way to meet art people in LC and also a good way to go about town.

I'm also a LC crafter/fine artist.  Though I have my own feelings about most of the fine art scene here  Roll Eyes

What's your craft, mvmarcz?  As of now, all of my craftiness has been focused on purses mainly, but pretty much anything that involves sewing.

well I knit and sew but I try other things all the time.  I'm also an art major at McNeese so I do alot of fine art as well.

I don't get to craft as often as I'd like because of spacial issues, it's hard to find room to cut out a pattern and find a place to set up my little $80 brother (I'm dieing for a machine that can do more).  Also because I am a poor college student supplies are pricey, I have tons of patterns for sewing and yarn for knitting, but I can never get around to finishing much too often :/
