I was so excited about this new illustration that I had to post it right away  Grin I'm working on a series of Alice in Wonderland watercolored illustrations (This one will be painted later) that featured all of the inhabitants of Wonderland looking as crazy as I always imagined them when I read the story.

*Edit!* Here's the cleaned lineart!

Wow!  I love this!  And I love the text you chose to put around the border...that's one of my favourite bits if not my most favourite. Smiley
I'd love to see this when coloured as well. Cheesy

Love it! Can't wait to see it painted. I agree, the text gives it that little something extra.

I too, an enamoured with Alice in Wonderland. Is it just me, or does the story take on a whole new dimension as you get older and notice the decidedly 'adult' context? Such fun!

Please post it again when you have painted it.

You have every reason to be excited! Actually, I'm glad you uploaded this lineart version. I really love great outlines! (And love to COLOR them for fun!)

Hmm. I suddenly have this incredible urge to color something  Grin

Cheesy I'm so glad to hear that y'all like it! I was so excited after finishing this one, I went and did another illustration I had in mind yesterday, though it's not Alice in Wonderland themed (there will be more of those though, promise!) You can see it here if you'd like Red Riding Hood

Eternallyeve, I totally know what you mean, re-reading the story I've gotten an entirely different view of it than I did when I read it when I was little. That's what inspired the illustrations!

Shydeana, I've thought about putting together an "adult" coloring book - not adult dirty, just something with a lot of detail. I wonder if there would be any interest in one...  Huh

Your illustrations as fantastic, i was looking for anything you have for sale, but couldn't see anything on etsy.

I'd be careful with publishing a colouring book because I am afraid you'd be copied quite a lot- not by craftsters as the issue of copyrights is discussed quite a bit, but outside the comunity. Angry - you've protected your image here, but not on the other post abt Alice & the mad hatter, maybe u should change that.

oh and it's funny what you say abt re-reading the story as an adult- I hadn't until I had to read them to my children- and then you have to keep your "child'hood eyes" when you read them. Smiley

That's good advice Miss*Laurence, I hadn't thought about that. I don't have anything on Etsy yet, but there should be things up by the beginning of next month. I was thinking of offering hand watercolored prints of each illustration Smiley If I can find a way to make good color scans and prints of them, I'll offer those as well. I'll send you a message as soon as I have things up, thanks for the interest!

Since many of us like to 'color' on our computers, I'm wondering if an on-line store would work for you? I for one, am a habitual doodler and 'color-er'  Grin It's tremendous stress free relaxation to just sit and color something on the computer.
