I haven't posted in awhile, but I just found some old pictures of a gown I created my junior year of college. It was for class and the project was to design and construct a gown for a celebrity of our choosing to wear down the red carpet. I picked Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The gown is made of black crepe-back satin, but was supposed to be either gold or red. Unfortunately Joann's was running low on those colors of that fabric at the time. I used both sides of the fabric, but it might be hard to tell in the pics.

Oooh, very pretty. This is actually better than a lot of dresses I have seen on the red carpet. Well done!

Thank you everyone for your kind words! I'm working on getting a model, but who knows how long that will take. I've got a lot of projects going on at the moment.
