Anchors Aweigh! Senior Collection *pic heavy* 1940's style Dresses

I am preparing to graduate with my bachelor's in fashion design, and in my program, all of the students produce an annual runway show each spring showcasing underclassmen designs and senior collections.  Each senior is required to design and produce their own senior collection, from inspiration to stitching to choreography.  My collection is titled "Anchors Aweigh!" and is basically the idea of "A 1940's sailor gal travels to New Mexico via Route 66".  I dressed 7 models for my show, and they are each wonderful and beautious ladies!  Our show was this past Saturday, so I have a few pics from the runway.  I WILL be updating this thread as soon as I receive the studio shots from this weekend, so garment details will be available.  I want to make a quick shoutout to my dear hair and makeup team (Kyle and the girls) from Christina's Salon and Spa for creating such wonderful forties hairstyles and makeup!  Also to the various photographers who helped me document the day.

That's a great collection!! Which school are you attending? How challenging is it taking a bachelor in fashion design? I know it not quite the same, but I'm planning on taking a bachelor in costumes for stage and screen next year, and was just wondering of the intensity of your course, just to get some idea of what to expect.. (even if it's a different course and school..)

gorgeous, gorgeous stuff! I have such a thing for anchor and nautical images, the dress with the anchor applique is definitely my favorite!
