I started with them again. I'm using the nail polish, because I realised I bought it exactly for such projects like this. It's good enough. Maybe not exactly like glass, but actually I don't want them to look exactly like glass anyway...

And, of course, with a really narrow and really long triangle you *should* be able to make round ones... I haven't achieved it yet, but hopefully one day...

What if you make them really narrow and really long plus use thick paper?!

Altered angel, if you still don't know what to do with your lovely beads, maybe you could make a bead curtain with them? Apparently they did this in victorian times... though you'd need to make lots more Wink

cute!!  i made a necklace out of these about a year ago...i coated mine with this decoupage stuff, i just kept the beads in the box and sprayed them a few times over the period of a couple days...they turned out really shiny but i wouldnt say "like glass"

yours are super cute though, i love the bright colors Smiley

My husband's grandmother gave me a bunch when she moved last year and I made some great windchimes with them and some little silver bells from Michael's.

Those are awesome.  Grin

Are they made by basically rolling up strips of paper with glue on the inside so they stay rolled up and then coated with clear nail polish or modge podge?

Basically yes. Usually not strips, but long narrow triangles. But you can try strips, too.
