OMG! I so want this sofa. *drools*

I can do the pillows and I'm almost certain that I will. Does anyone have any ideas on where I might find those kind of sofas? Ikea, perhaps? They would look great in a play room or any room, really. Oh how I wish I had my own place!

I don't think IKEA carries those, but they look simple enough to build!  They don't look super comfy though; I'd just make lots of the pillows and put them on comfortable couches.  You could even put letters on both sides!  Have fun!

No, they don't look that difficult to build.  Your biggest challenge would be affording the wood to make the seats and seat backs out of.  You could get away with cheap plywood, but you would have to paint it or something like that to cover up the knots in the wood.

All you would have to do is make 4 or 5 (depending on the length of the couch) pieces like those on each end of the couch in the pic, arrange the rest equally between and nail some plywood all around.

Very cool though, I wish someone would deliver one to my apt. by mistake.

Haha. Wouldn't that be lucky?

Yeah, I didn't think anyplace would have these sofas premade, although they do look mod. Guess I was hoping not to make them, as I have no sofa-making skillz (and I don't have the time to undertake such a task). Seems like a good idea, though. The pillows would be nice and easy. Smiley

must agree on how cool those seats are! As for comfort I'm really not sure. But I would go ahead and make the cushions anyhow and use them on your own couch. I'd have friends over and then start tossing the cushions and whoever caught whatever letters they'd have to spell out the word with what they have! It sure could be a great way to break the ice at a party!

my fiance and his dad made us 3 of those.
and i made the pillows.
it was really easy to make (both couch and sofas)

we live in the upstairs of his house, which was custom built, and the part we live in was made like to be an apartment for him. its amazing, and just like living on your own. the living room area is huge, so we have 3 of those arranged exactly like in the pic.
and the pillows say "ashley" "and" "tommy"
in goes great with our wood coffin which is actually a real coffin from the early 1900's. (before they were made square)

you should def. go for making it yourself.
