Here's the great package I received from spikelvr44. It was her first swap!:

A great fuzzy tie-dye fleece blanket (I can always use more blankets because my roomates are always stealing mine!):

Clay monkey buttons she bought (I collect unusual buttons):

Felted Little Debbie Zebra Cakes!!! (My favorite snack!):

A really cool keyboard key necklace that is interchangeable and has a B for Beth!:

Thanks so much Phoebe!

Remove the bristles with tweezers or scissors. Boil water and put the tooth brush inside; it should float. With tongs, check if the toothbrush is soft enough to bend. Wrap a pretty thick layer of paper towel around your wrist, then take the soft toothbrush out of the water with tongs. The directions I found said to wait a couple of seconds, then bend it around your wrist, but when I did, it had already hardened too much, so I sort of used the tongs and the top of my oven to shape it around my wrist. If it looks wonky, put it back in the water and try again.

I tried with a thicker toothbrush, but it wouldn't melt/soften, no matter how long I kept in in there - so your knitting needles may be made of too thick a plastic for this method, you may have to resort to the record album/LP bowl method, and try to melt it enough in your oven.
