I was wandering through Toys R Us with my 3 year old dd a few days ago and she went gaga for the Rainbow Brite toys she saw.  Well, the creative wheels in my head started turning and we headed to JoAnn's.  4 US dollars and 4 hours later (we still had to go grocery shopping Wink ) this was born...

My dd adores it.  She wore it the next day to her play date and was proudly telling everyone that "my mommy made it for me".  Several of the moms offered to pay me to make one for their dd's and one wanted a larger version for herself.  I politely told them no (too many projects right now) and directed them to JoAnn's and Craftsters...shamel ess plug for my all-time favorite site  Grin

Yup, me too.  You could've knocked me over with a feather when I saw them on the shelves.  I had Red Butler and Rainbow Brite when I was around 5 or 6.  They also have Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, and Care Bears.  Talk about nostalgia.  I wanted to buy one of the SS dolls just so I could smell it Wink

woooow!  I love it!!  I had Rainbrow Brite everything when I was little.  It looks like you bought it from Toys.R.Us.  I'm not sure I would carry it myself (you know, age appropriate stuff a la what not to wear) but I could make one for my little cousin.

Does Joann's have that rainbow fabric and rainbow webbing?  The webbing is such a nice touch.  Woo for you!!  And your daughter for having such a cool mom.

That is so awesome! I really love that bag. It seems very well-constructed and it's so amazingly colorful. SInce I am only 13, I think I could get away with carrying such an awesome bag. Great Job.  Grin Grin Grin
