I made this for the 1920's swap, my partner has received now so i thought i would post here.

I kept doodling for ages trying to come up with a design but i was suddenly inspired by the shape of a peacock's plumes, wihich is the shape on the front of the hat. The gold applique is to mimic feathers.

The background is supposed to denote pearls and these were filled in but i scanned this before and then forgot after. I also added some rouge on the cheeks. I then made it into a bag.

Thanks! It was all done by hand. When I was about half way through the applique i did wonder why i wasn't machine stitching it!

I love it.  You did a great job.  Wish I had the patience for a large piece like that.

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.
