I tried this yesterday & am really happy with the results.  I had to go all over town to find egg dye that hasn't been pulled from the shelves yet & finally found some at K-Mart.  I used Brown Sheep in Oatmeal & wasn't too sure how it would turn out but it is GORGEOUS!  I used the purple, blue and green (two tablets each) & I swear it looks like noro or some other much more expensive yarn.  It seemed to condition the mohair in the BS too so it wasn't quite so itchy.

I bet the Brown Sheep is awesome dyed!  Do you have pictures? I went to your blog and didn't see them up yet!

I dyed some more yarns with leftover dyes I had in my fridge for a few days.  They turned out well I think!

These colors really remind me of Spring Smiley

That is just incredible, too bad I am just finding this now, instead of a couple weeks ago.

I just tried this as well, it works great! If you're having a hard time finding Easter egg dye kits try Joann Fabrics. (I went on the 20th and they had tons for .29 cents a box.)

Your yarn is gorgeous, and the color combos are amazing!

I must try this - thanks so much for the tute!

Mistake?  No... it's an Unexpected Design Element.  I put it there on purpose.  *ahem*

Thanks!  It is so much fun to play around with the colors.  I am really excited to see how the new ones I dyed knit up, though I have to find projects for them first!
