Aren't these the cutest things you've ever seen?

Pattern: Backyard Critters—Fox, Skunk, Raccoon. Owl
Pattern Source: http://craftyalien.etsy.com Patterns from CraftyAlien, one animal from each version of her Backyard Critters line.

I made these little critters to give to my daughter on Easter, and she adores them.  I love how these guys turned out, this pattern is well written and designed, and the finished toys are to die for!  I made a few modifcations, but nothing major.  The hardest part was trying to get the faces to look as cute as the originals Smiley

What do you think? Don't they make you just go "AWWWWWWWW...!"

Yarn info and a couple more pictures are on my blog and flickr site!

Adorable!!  Great job.  Your daughter is a cutie!!

Could you comment on what things you need to know knitwise to make them?  Is it all knit/purl or decrease/increase, or are there other stitches you have to know?  I esp would love to buy the pattern for the fox.

Yep, all basic increasing and decreases, so the knitting part is acutally quite simple.  The fiddly part is the finishing as there are quite a few parts and steps involved.  Not difficult, just time consuming!  Some embroidery techniques are used, but I found resources online that helped me figure those out.

Thanks for the comments!  They are so cute that I ordered some bulky yarn to try to make a big Backyard critter!  Cheesy

It was so hard to get the features on the skunk to look right but I like the way he turned out too!
