Lol yay!! Im glad you like them!!  My mom taught me how to knit when I was a kid, but I still don't understand crochet...I tried to make a dishcloth once and it looked more like a blob by the time I was through.  How you can make anything with one needle (or hook or whatever you call it) is beyond me.  =P

i have ALWAYS wanted to try knitting and crochet, but I cant find anyone patient enough to teach me. I am waiting for a couple fellow craftsters to send me knitting supplies and a DIY crochet for dummies kit and with those things and books/online I am going to try and teach myself to knit/crochet. I can do a basic crochet chain but thats as far as i can go..................maybe someday i can be as good as the gals on craftster!

Don't feel bad. I can't figure out crochect or knitting for the life of me. I'm considering going to classes offered at the local craft store though as I cannot grasp it from books Tongue Undecided

i talk about wanting to learn to knit/crochet, like i have abundant amounts of time to do that......uh, no! my polymer clay business keeps me busy but i can't really poly clay craft unless i am in my studio with all of my tools.

so I want to try something that i can do when i am out of the house or in bed watching tv. i can't really poly craft at those times unless i get something to attach my electric pasta machine to my body. hahahahahaha

but until then I will wish and hope to learn to knit/crochet.  and someday i too hope to maybe take a class or something.

And here I am saying the same about you two sticked knitters... Tongue  I just can't manage two needles with no hooks to grab the yarn!  I'm an avid crocheter, definatly my favorite craft...

I've been doing knitting and crocheting for so long, I can't even remember when I learned - seems I've always known how...

Thanks to my mom, who taught me, of course

I received from wiseowl! She sent me the most gorgeous jewelry.

Excuse the flash, but this is the best picture of the beaded crochet necklace. I'm also wearing the earrings she sent but you can't see them very well. To add fuel to the "I don't understand your craft!!!" fire, I knit like a maniac but can't understand crochet at all, let alone really fine beaded crochet. There's two strand of it that make up the necklace.

This is a better picture of the earrings. I've cropped my face out because I'm making the stupidest expression ever.

And here's the first necklace along with the OTHER necklace she sent! The colours are a bit washed out here because I took it in such bright sunlight. The blue is quite a bit deeper and those are hardware-type bolts in the necklace!

Not pictured: the two big bars of American Hersheys.  Grin Yum.
Thank you, wiseowl! I'm beginning to feel a little embarassed about what I sent...

I received a wonderful package from retro-redux today.  I'm so happy.  I just love the patchwork scarf that she sent me.

Check out the cute vintage fabric thats on the back.

An action shot (sort of)

This scarf must be about 10 feet long.  It reaches my knees when wrapped around my neck once.

She also sent me a bonus gift of a tribal mask pendant.  Its so cute.

Thank you retro-redux.  Thats an amazing swap package for 2 hours of crafting!

I received my awesome package from Krafty_Kelly today! Kelly and I had the longest swap-from Texas to Newfoundland and vice versa! But my goodies are so worth the wait:) I cannot crochet and have just started an Amigurumi collection from all my lovely Craftster buddies-so Kelly made me an adorable lil amigurumi weeble-y type doll! I believe this is Kelly's own pattern? She is soooo cute-I luv her! I shall name her Lucy:)
Kelly also sent me a fab purse chocheted out of recycled shopping bags-woot! and sent Colin two Kinder Eggs which he promptly ate and played with the lil toys inside. We had never heard of Kinder Eggs so that was such a treat!

Thank you Kelly you are one talented lady:)

Lucy!
