Cry Sorry about Mayonnaise! I've never had a Ratty for a pet, but I know people who have-they are amazing I hear.

I like that you took some of your pets personal things and made something to remind you of him. I am really broken up if I lose a pet... I have a bunch of pics (poor quality, blurry, of center-you know: the pet kind) of my( and hubbie's) previous kitties from when we were kids. I really want to do something with them...Anyone have any sentimental ideas to do with the pics? Any ideas what to add?

That is absolutely adorable. What a nice way to remember your little buddy  Cry  After my first rat died, I had a necklace pendant made to look like her, which is really nice but I didn't make it myself. I haven't done anything to commemorate my other past rats, but I should do something with their photos.

Mayonnaise is the cutest name ever  Smiley

I love your Shadow Box and am sorry for the loss of Mayo. I too have had a few rats for pets and loved them dearly. Sad thing ...their life span is naturally very short. Cry

That is very cute. I had a rat and absolutly loved it! It passed away when my sister got hers. Then my sisters ended up with tumors and passed away.  Cry I hope things get better with you and your loss. Once again great project!

awwwe... that's really sweet. i love that you included the water bottle, too. those things are a major part of rat owner life. i don't think people realize how much time we spend rinsing and refilling them.

or trying to shove ice in them when i think it might be tooo hot.

that is the best idea! I've been having a hard time dealing with the loss of my first ferret. (she was 4 and had cancer.) This might be the sort of thing I need to do for her. She's buried in my backyard and I've been debating a headstone but somehow that just doesn't seem to do her justice in my mind.
Thanks so much for sharing your way of memorializing your pet. I feel for your loss.

What a lucky boy to have had you in his life. So sorry for your loss. Your shadowbox is such a sweet tribute to him.
