I just got a glaze firing done from my college so I figured I'd share some of my pieces. Since it's all done at a community college I have no control over  firing (but that's ok).   The project was lided Forms: one of the lids fell and shattered while i was glazing so one is lidless, but I'm totally ok with that! Let me know what you think! Oh, p.S. Ignore the lighter in the backround. Tacky to have it there but I had just lit a candle (I have lighters everywhere specifically for my candles) and forgot about it.

Nice!  I like the third one a lot.

I love the bright red on the fourth one.  How did you get that color?

Wow, what beautiful work!  I took a ceramics class in college and it was so much fun.  I loved it. I want to start doing it again.  Something relaxing about it.  Well anyway, well done.  Grin

Thank you! The color *gah!* is called Chun Red. Basically it's supposed to have that dark red all over but on 1/2 the pot it's practically white. Also that was dipped twice. A girl I know dipped it once and got a greenish color with red spots. >>   Beats me ot be honest. Smiley

Thanks. Smiley I completely know what you mean by being relaxed through the process. I'm at my most meditative state with New Age or Classical music playing and working at the wheel. Smiley I really really want my own but they are like, oh, $1000.00! I certainty don't have that kind of money.

red is a tough color, temperature affects it, not enough glaze on the pot will make it not turn out, so if say something in the kiln was too close on the side that might be why one side is different than the other, I like red but I try to avoid it

Wow, very nice. I love the first one's color and shape, but I really like the third one, very nice job.
