I finally made a garment that I will actually wear! (I think...)
I made Knitty's Eyelet (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer03/PATTeyelet.html). I started it during my spring break (March 22nd) and finished it last night (April 12th). I like it so far, but I haven't worn it out yet. It was ssuupppper boring to make, which is why it took me so long to finish.

The top is a little big, I have to keep tightening the string. Maybe when I wash it, it will shrink?
It's pretty heavy, I'm guessing its the cotton yarn. I'm not complaining though, its usually cold and sunny here in Santa Cruz, so I can look cute and be warm at the same time. Tongue

look at my kitty!

there are more details on my lame little blog. Smiley

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

It's very cute.  You could use some type of elastic in the waist to help -- maybe make an elastic tie somehow?

Good job! I don't think I'd have the patience for that.
Your cat is so pretty!

Cute!  I also made this skirt and it dragged FOREVER because it was so boring.  I made it out of all these odds and ends of cotton yarn I had lying around, and to be honest, mine was pretty ugly.  Like 95 different colors.  And I agree about the cotton yarn - its so heavy!  The one time I tried to wear it it started as a knee length skirt and ended as a floor length skirt (YIKES!).  Yours is in really pretty colors though, you could consider sewing some fabric inside to keep it from dragging down so much, or to pull in the top a little so you don't have to keep retying the string - I considered it to remedy the sagging but the colors I made it in are so ugly, I don't think I want to even see my skirt again (ha).
