Sushi help in a hurry!

I told my friend that I would make sushi tonight. I know how, the problem is that I only have a couple sheets of nori in the freezer.
So I decided that maybe I could do a couple rolls with the nori I have and then make temarizushi (the balls), but I cant think of very may thing to make them with.
heres what I came up with so far:
avocado
Cucumber
crabmeat
 :-\asian pear prosuitto and cream cheese(i know weird huh it was on a recipe site and I was like why not?)
shrimp maybe
or chicken

any other suggestions?


The problem is that I have never done temarizushi and although it seems like its probably easier than rolls I am afraid that the ingreidients won't stay put. and these sushi are typically done with raw fish. I live in Kentucky and oddly enough we don't have many fishmongers. so I usually only do cooked fish.
I know this is a sooo weird request but it might be fun to see what you guys come up with.  I am going to the store in a couple hours.
this makes me think of a timed scavenger hunt...

What about tamago?  You have eggs, no?

I have never done tamago either. I think i have a recipe in the book.... is it fairly flexible? Yep, that may work thanks.

I wish I had seen this yesterday!

I made sushi a week or so ago and just really made the couple of sheets of nori that I had go a long way! It involved lots of creative cutting of the sheets.

You could make the balls but also the tamago is really easy to do. There are many tutorials online for making this. =)

I also used smoked salmon to make some salmon nigiri. That went down really well. =)

I actually used smoked salmon, so its funny you should say that.
I shyed away from the tamago but only because I didn't have a ton of time and I figured that trying something that new should be done when I have time to mess it up. I will try it though.
I made three rolls (one of them was inside out) and the rest I just tried the temarizushi, but some of them were kind of big, none the less I achieved sushi success!

Canned tuna flakes (in oil - drained) - add some mayonnaise & some wasabi - makes good "onigiri" (rice ball) filling...
