Yeah, I agree about the weather thing indieknits. : ) I miss the wintertime in the Northwest.

I'm excited to possibly start this project. My sister and I are going to the local yarn store this week sometime.

Glaistig, I guess you'd just have to use your judgement about the Cotton Fleece--I've never worked with it before, so I can't say anything about the texture, although I've seen the color palette on YarnDex (a RAD site) and it looks like they have some really pretty choices. Also, it's a DK weight, so you'd probably have to do some extra math and buy more yarn, but it seems like it might be fitting for wearing in more seasons than just fall and winter.
Also, craftybecky, I'd love to see some progress pics! I've never heard of the yarn you're using but the color sounds pretty.

Hi, Just run into a problem knitting the back. After you have reached the armholes it says to:
BO 4 sts at beg of each of the next 2 rows.
K2tog at the beg of next 2 rows.
K2tog at the beg of every other row for the next 4 rows.
Wrk even in St st for 23 rows.
K one row.
BO 48 sts.
Just wondering if the BO 48 sts number is wrong cos' doesn't all the decreases only add up to 14 sts less? Should the number of BO sts be 54 or am i stuffing something up?

craftybecky - the number of BO stitches is a mystery that I don't think we have solved yet... lol.  When I did mine I had the 54 (or whatever) BO stitches, and it all turned out just fine  (the back turned out fine anyway....  ha ha).  Did anyone adjust their decreases to get the 48 BO stitches?  How are the results?

I love the TLC yarn you are using!  Can't wait to see WIP pics!

indieknitter, I'm also obsessed with Yarndex!  I'm a serial yarn subber, so it's like my bible.

Tonight I am giving Mrs. Darcy back her arm while I watch the season finale of Ugly Betty (yay!).  Hopefully I'll get to the crab stitch during Grey's Anatomy, then I can block tomorrow.  Knitting always has to match my TV schedule... lol.

I think you guys are probably right about the BO stitches--chances are I did the math wrong when I was writing up the pattern. Just another of my first-garment-pattern blunders!

don't beat yourself up-we all are having/had a fabulous time knitting this up!

PS-sorry for no progress pics lately, I've been having the end of semester/college blues if you know what I mean.  So far I've done the back and a side (don't remember, ha!) and I plan on restarting it soon.

I really like it as well! even though it has the "a" word in it, it is surprisingly nice to knit with. I bought like 6 bags of the stuff when spotlight had it on clearance for 3 bucks a bag! woo!

Mrs. Darcy is being blocked right now!  I can't wait for her to dry so I can sew on the buttons, wear it around the house for 10 minutes, then pack it up until winter... yay!
