So I wanted to give felting a try, but didn't have the patience to get involved in a complicated pattern right now.

So... I knitted a rectangle, folded it in half, and sewed it up. Threw a little i-cord handle on it. And voila...

Before felting:

After felting:

The top is Lion Boucle (I think the color scheme is Hard Candies) and the rest is Lamb's Pride bulky in chianti and raspberry (left over yarn from a Windy City Scarf from SnB). Should have put something in the photo for size perspective, but it's probably big enough for a cell phone, keys, and a small change purse.

It took 2 run-throughs in the wash before the wool really felted, but it was a super-quick project. The kniting itself only took about 2 hours. My next project is going to be the Skull & Bones mini felted tote from Hello Yarn (http://www.helloyarn.com/miniskulltote.htm)! Now there's a fun little bag! Yippee!

I love simple projects like this!  It's so cute - I think the boucle at the top is really creative.  Thanks for posting!
