Good evening all!

All of you are so very talented, has anyone ever tried to sell their own purses on ebay?  I just did a random search of cotton purses and there are hundreds!!  Not very encouraging if one was to try to make a sale on ebay.

Anyone try to sell your wares on ebay?

i have sold some on ebay before..there might be thousands on ebay, so all you need to do is make yours extra special and cooler than the others...its all about using fabric/materials that are different, that you dont see that often..also pricing..make it affordable, but you also have to make something on it..and come up with good titles for it..for easy searching...hope this helps a litttle....good luck!  >^..^<

I sold some cigar box purses many moons ago & I'm currently selling some original purses on eBay and am so excited that I have bids. The "design your own" was an accident because I accidentally listed the same record album purse twice, I have several "watchers" on that one & think it may sell. This is my first try with these purses so the interest should inrease with each listing and sale. I have sold quite a few purses from garage sales & also have sold some crafted items too. The people who buy on eBay are looking for bargains & with crafted items it's hard to get anywhere near the prices I can get selling person to person. The hope is always that over time, with something unusual you'll be able to create some intrest & repeat customers.
If you'd like to see what I have for sale, look here: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQampq3bsspagenameZhQ3ahQ3aadvsearchQ3aUSQQcatrefZC6QQfromZR7QQnojsprZyQQnojsprZyQQpfidZ0QQsacategoryZQ2d1QQsassZhoodadsQQsatitleZQQsinceZ30QQsofindtypeZ15QQsofocusZbsQQsorecordsperpageZ50QQsorecordsperpageZ50QQsosortorderZ1QQsosortpropertyZ3

There are alot of really ugly purses online... sorry! BUT if you are a great talent there is no need to worry about the competition.

They're scans of book covers, transfer printed (like tshirt transfers.)  The brand of tshirt transfer I use kind of soaks into the fabric if that makes sense.  So it does look kind of like screenprinting.  And I use woven fabric, not knits.

There are so many factors into succesful selling on Ebay.  I have personally found that the title, time of day, day of the week, length of auction, and time of year are important factors.  I sold an Angelina Jolie Magazine purse in Dec for $80 dollars, then listed the same purse in May and got only $13.  Summer months are definetly a lot slower.
