So I found that every morning when I was getting dressed for work, I kept wishing I had a little white top that would match everything. So I decided to knit one up. The result? A top that is not too exciting knitter-wise, but perfectly meeting my wardrobe needs.

(Please ignore weird bunching on the side- that was just the way I was turned or something)

Pattern: Bad Penny from Knitty.com, size Medium
Yarn: Patons Grace in Snow (5 skeins)
Needles: Size 7 circulars (16" for neckline, but quickly changed to 24"), Size 5 circular for ribbing, size 5 DPNs for sleeve ribbing.
Modifications: smaller ribbing on neck and sleeves

Notes:
For some reason, this pattern tripped me up a little (it was my first top down raglan-that's probably it). The directions said to do the sleeves flat, but I didn't really understand what that meant, so I did them in the round using DPNs and then seamed up the little hole in the underarm that was left over. If you are trying to make this and looking for advice (as I was!), feel free to PM me...

Also, those damn eyelets at the bottom of the ribbing drove me crazy! I have lots and lots of notes about how I dealt with the difficulty of these, but now they just seem tedious. Basically, I just had to deal with the fact that the 1X1 ribbing just wasn't going to work out perfectly.

yay, i'm glad you figured it out!  which way did you end up doing the eyelets?  all k2tog?

it looks so cute, and i'm glad to know it works all in one yarn-- did you have to make any adjustments for that?  i never did look to see if the yarns she recommends are the same weight or not.

bad penny has officially been bumped closer to the top of my to-knit list.

Completely adorable and bumped way up on my list... I live in Mississippi and this would be perfect for a summer shirt.  Love it!

I love the zigzag in the hem.  Gives a great basic something special.

That's so pretty!  My very first sweater was bad penny, although I made it BRIGHT PINK.
