I'm trying to etch a complex pattern around the top and left side of a 24" by 30" mirror. I've tried tracing the design onto contact paper and cutting it out with an exacto knife twice. However, when I try to affix the pattern to the mirror, I end up getting it stuck on all crooked and rip/stretch the pattern when I try to fix it. Has anyone tried any other ways to do this? Can I cut the pattern out of some stiffer plastic, then use spray adhesive? The mirror was fairly expensive, so I don't want to apply armour etch to anything until i *know* it works...Thanks!

So i went ahead and actually *read* the bottle of ArmourEtch that I own...genius idea:

Stick the contact paper onto the glass, *then* cut out your design!!

After that, make sure the design is smooth and smush the cream on all over, details etch beautifully.

Really complex designs become easy-peasy...i'll post my happy test-project:)

Onto the big mirror project!
