This is more recent - this is what I have been experimenting with lately: embroidery and felting... combined! The green part is wool that I couched down, then felted/fulled onto the already felted felt, and then I embroidered away, and it decided to become a snail for whatever reason. Who am I to question these things.  I'm sure there's an easier way to felt, but I'm no felting expert.

I was thinking of using this kind of idea to make brooches or something.  I would use more neutral background felt probably - this one looks kind of like vomit....

*Gasp*  The texture on that is incredible I love it!  It would make a stunning brooch.  Wow, I am going to have to try some of those techniques together.  The colours are wonderful as well.  Very, very, nice!

I love it!  What a clever idea to combine felt and embroidery that way!

thanks guys!  I'll try to put up some more when I have time to make them.  Hopefully they'll make it into brooch form, instead of just being a ... thingy... Smiley
