I think what matters is if you like it.

You can't see it with your hair down, like you said, so you have the choice to wear it showing or not.

Besides, it's just hair!  It'll grow back!

You can see your side cut in two ways; positive: that hair would be healthier and brand spankin new when grown out, it would help cool you off in the summer heat, you would get plenty of compliments on it, it also suits you, the other side being negative: I have nothing bad to say.

It looks awesome- but I have to warn you :
ever since I did that to my head years ago, the hair on that side of the head is a lot thinner and flimsier than the side that hasn't ever been shaved... so think about it a little more before you do it

So I've been bored with my hair, and considering whether or not I could go redhead.  I would want a nice gingery-coppery red that looks as natural as possible (I liked DuctTapeRockStar's hair 2 pages back), but I am unsure if I have the correct skin tone to pull this off.  I am blonde and usually pale in the winter, but my skin is still kind of a warm tone.  Any advice?

Also, since I just want to try this out, experience with semi-permanent red dyes?  Any good brands?  All the good copper colors I've seen are permanent and I don't know where to get a good copper one that washes out (to a degree).
