I actually think you would really suit an Amelie - style short A-line cut.

I was totally thinking that as well but my roommate said she liked the longer cut but thats only one opinion. I just watched Amelie this weekend  Smiley

okey doke let me try
]
this is my normal hair (excuse the pjs) after i wake up. so i haven't brushed it yet. i usaully can't let it down so i wear it in a pony. the top layer of my hair is quite straight. its the under layer that is super curly. 5-6 monthes ago i got it thinned so its a teeensy weeeensy bit better. now i figure if the bottom layere is curly i should get it layered right? so they will cut the curly part shorter? so what i am asking is will i fit these looks

when they layer your hair the top layers will be shorter than the bottom ones. and those hair styles are going to take alot of care. you'll have to straighten it to get it to look like those. but should you decide to not straighten it one day you could easily style your hair like I used to:

I had my hair layered and then scrunched it while it was wet with whatever product you want to use. (I didn't use any bc my hair is pretty wavy)
and then when I straightened it it looked like this:

and a better picture of it when it was red and pretty even though I look like I'm 12

i really like them tho. i have  a girl in my class with a similar cut...... she doesn't straighten it
i am curious what other haircuts will fit me any suggestions? i hate my curly hair and i want a cut that will be about shoulder length, will stand out and will not be lame. here where i  live you get excluded A LOT if you don't have straightish hair or where it loose!
edit: maybe a shag cut?

Well the most I would suggest is to ask the beautician to THIN cut your hair...that way if you want to keep length growing you can.

I personally think because of the stage your hair appears to be at...it is going through its "ugly" stage we girls like to call it.

Although if you really wanna go scene style...that takes work and commitment.

My teenager did that for a short time then she got frustrated then went and chopped it all off. Now she looks like a Goth version of

Annie Lennox:P
Incase you do not know who Annie Lennox is...she made the original version of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)"

and Marilyn Manson made a remake. (I like both versions)

Anyway, I dunno if I helped at all. Just thought I'd comment.

the "Scene" cuts are really trendy. The problem with trends is they change. A lot. And fast.

Your hair is a lot nicer than you give it credit for. I have super-fine straight hair, and absolutely HATE IT!
If you get a scene cut, as stated, it takes a lot of work to make it look like those pics. I have to blow dry mine every day with a root volumizer if I want it to look like it should (I generally don't) You would have to straighten it every day to look like that.
My sister has "beaded hair" which is attributed to African Americans (we're white as can be lol) and had a scene cut for ages. She would only wash her hair once a week (usually sunday afternoon) and spend 6+ hours straightening it. Then, every other day, she'd just touch up spots that had lost the right shape...
