Thank you!  Grin I'll try the sun and lemon method - does the blow-drying method actually do it without any sunlight needed? Or does it just speed it up some?  Sad
I've bleached the underneath of my hair before, but due to lots of red-black hairdye in previous years that's hung on for dear life, it looked like a giant flame - properly bleach blonde at the roots, then steadily turning orange and light red at the tips  Grin I may have just needed a toner, but I don't really fancy risking turning my head orangey  Embarrassed Plus I have pretty fine hair as it is, and I'm growing it so I'd rather keep it as unfried as possible  Roll Eyes

the sun-in will keep working with the hair dryer. not just a little bit. it'll lighten just the same with the hair dryer as it does the sun.
when i was younger, my sister used it, and it totally fried her hair. it was really bad.

humm it never fried my hair..but i use lots of conditioner...i bleach my hair all the time and ive used that and after i wash it it never gets lighter then what i put it to. if youve dyed your hair before hand like red..and then try bleaching it..yea it will turn slightly orange. you might have to do it a few times but if you dye it..bleach your tips first and wait till your almost done to do the roots. i just redid my hair again last night with bleach and thats how we had to do it. but my hair is in really good condition and ive been dying and bleaching my hair for over 5 years and usally once a month. as long as you condition your hair and take good care of it..you really shouldn't have a problem with it frying. my hair is really fine too...so

but everything works diffrent on diffrent people. but thats how it worked on mine...

Tripod blocks hotlinking.  I went on the site they got it from and found the image.  I believe this is the hairstyle they're talking about:

I'm fairly certain if you can pull off dreads, you could easily chave your head to resemble a soccerball and have it work out.  I cut my hair today (Broke the sewing machine last night.)  I'll post a picture soon. It's an ear length bob.

I JUST started working at a hair salon...as receptionist, but either way, I want to take advantage of this employee benefit of cheap, professional hair alteration. But...I want something different, color-wise. I've never had highlights, always had varying shades of dark brown. I'm thinking something real light. Dunno. Any thoughts?

This is me:

And, uhh...I have to put up my picture with Colin Meloy of the Decemberists.
