Beginner needs help!

I am really considering making my own lotion and start selling. I have never done any of this type of stuff before and really need help on where to begin. I looked at the tutorial that is on here, not really understanding it, I do know that I would need a preservative added. If anyone could please help me out it would be great! This is all new to me. Thanks!!

Is there a course you can take locally? The first course I took was through the City Recreation program but other stores that sell natural beauty supplies offer courses as well. I started with the course, then read a lot of books filled with recipes, then spent a couple of years testing them out on Family and Friends and now am selling my stuff.
Let me know if you are interested in a list of good books to get you started.
One of the hardest things is finding labels and good containers. I can definitely give you advice there too.
