The last I actually went to get my hair cut, I asked for thinned layers and bangs and got neither. So naturally I went out and bought some of those razor-scissors and did it myself.
Here's what I did (several months ago):

Then one day I was further thinning my hair and something weird happened to it, so I decided it was time for short! Here it was right after the cut:

and it's now grown out to:

I'm thinking maybe the bangs could make a comeback... also, some colouring is in order.

Needed some new color.

P.S.  Don't mind my silly MySpace expressions.

I used to have hair like this:

then one day, I was pissed, and decided NO I DON'T WANT TO LOOK LIKE A PRE RAPHAELITE PRINCESS ANYMORE I AM TIRED OF BEING OPHELIA--so put it in a braid and hacked most of it off.
This was a couple of months ago, and I got it evened out, so now I have hair like this:

and for a while it looked super cute and kinda French, but now it looks super emo and I feel kinda butch. Smiley Nevermind that I cut it off at the same time I started binding my breasts and blah blah and obviously the entire point is to feel a little butch...I'm still like, AAH! I look kinda butch!

except i don't really, i don't think. maybe? i have no idea.

I'm thinking of dying sections of it blue. Or pink? Or blue. Mmm, blue.

I love everyone's hair on here! Especially you girls with your crazy rainbow hair! It looks fucking delicious!

well think carefully because the hair does make the person. see, i have dreadlocks, so i know this and live this every day. as much as we'd like to deny it, everyone is judged by their looks. however, you have a very beautiful face, so i'm sure whatever you decide will be awesome and you you YOU! If it's between blue and pink, go pink. Blue looks sucktastic when it fades.

Everyones hair pictures show such a diverse range,  I thought I would add mine, the highlights are entirely natural but encouraged by the use of lemon juice.  I'm 26, i started growing it out when i was 5, now I keep it at my knees, its overdue for a trim again and a good 5 inches past my knees.   As for why I wanted kneelength hair, i saw Crystal Gale at the rodeo when i was 5 and thought she was beautiful and wanted my hair like hers, now I keep it long because its fun to be different.

Here is my hair in an updo (literally just thrown up in under 5 minutes)
**warning this is large photo so i linked it**
