okay, so my hair is "virgin" hair, so I don't have amazing dye jobs to show all of you.
but my hair's gone through some interesting reincarnations, so I thought I'd share. goody!
[lots of images, sorry]

first off:
May, '06 I donated my hair for the second time. [the first time I did it I was twelve.] this was right after I turned fourteen.

it was down to about my hips.
I liked my hair long but it didn't really have layers or anything b/c it had to be a pretty even length to donate it. [I had to make two ponytails there was so much hair.]
anyways, most of the blonde part got cut off because it was all the hair from two and a half year's worth of growing.
[according to the hairstylist, in two and a half years after donating my hair the first time, I grew out six year's worth of hair. my hair grows FAST.]

then I had this haircut. and, I must be honest, I really didn't like it. I hated having to style it, I didn't feel like it was flattering, blah.
So I let it grooow...and didn't cut it for a year. [I can get away with stuff like that. Wink]
so fast forward about seven inches later, when I felt like I could cut it without killing myself:

the current cut. I <3 it. I love everything about it.
and since my amazing hairstylist [I paid a little more, but it was sooo worth it] took out a lot of the weight in my hair, it curls!

everybody thought I curled it because my hair has lots of body and wave but doesn't ever curl like that. but it is natural, tee hee.
that cut was in June. I've had to trim the bangs myself since then [I "textured" them a little so they'd look like they did when I got the cut, and it looks just like it, to me, anyway.]
I'm gonna keep growing it out until it's long again and get something really funky and similar to what I have now, just longer, because I love the look.
okay, I'm done freaking everyone out with my long obsessive hair stories.
oh, and I'm hoping my sun time will lighten up my hair some more. this honey brown color is nice, but I miss being a golden blondeish color. Undecided
additionally, I haven't ever dyed my hair. so that's completely my natural color.

I haven't read through the whole thread yet so I don't know if any has mentioned Locks of Love.

If you're thinking about donating your hair, please don't donate to LoL.  I don't want to  take the thread off topic but just go to google and search around. The BBB (better business bureau) has had problems with them in the past as well as other problems.  Even if you do decide to keep donating there or will in the future at least you'll have the numbers and information.

Just some food for thought. Smiley

Wowzers, you guys have lovely hair.
Up until about the 8th grade i had hair down to, my booty. =]
and it was this dark brown color.
First color dyed? Burgundy I think. No photos.
Second color. Black, big mistake. It looked really fake. No photos.
7thh grade: 13 years old.
long hair, long bangs.
[[school year]]

8thh grade: 14 years old.
[[school year]]
longer bangs.

this was when i dyed it black, i got streaks for graduation. and it was cut by a friend. there was a story made up so mum didnt find out.

i dont recall what my hair looked like going into freshman year.
ive been trying to grow it out though.
i did get it layered, at the bottom and dyed an auburn color during the year.

end of the year, birthday: 15 years old.
[[june 20]]
trying to let it grow out.
[[ex]] boyfriends request.

A few days ago: 15 years old:

Bangs cut by me, they look alright right now, but ive really effed them up before.

How I wear my hair pretty much everyday:

I do not like having long hair. But alas i cannot cut it. I'd donate it but i cannot. I'm getting a haircut tomorrow hopefully itll be something i actually want. I'd love to dye my hair some funky color but whatever, ill deal.

I LOVE your hair long.

Maybe you could just trim it a bit and get layers? Idk if you'd like it more or not. But I LOVE your HAIR.
