I've always had crap-tastic results with manic panic.
And with most salon-sold colours as well...

The best in my personal experience has been Special Effects (hands down, no contest) I usually only have to touch up once a month, with anything else it's once a week!

A good friend of mine now swears by Stargazer, but I personally have not tried it yet...

Hi Everyone
Yet another mod reminder to stick to hair you have styled or done something "crafty" with. Please help me out and keep this board at least sort of on topic so I can keep it open.

Retroharmony-your hair is gorgeous!!!! Shocked

What color(s) did you use, if I may ask???

Smiley I used Beyond the zone, color jamz, raspberry kamikaze. The olny bad thing about beyond the zone is their colors run A LOT! So they dont tend to last very long.

I'm really jealous of all the great hair! I used to color my hair a lot of different colors (every so often a Kool-aid dye-job, but usually different tones of blonde or red), but I decided to color it black, then I liked it so much that I decided to let my hair grow out and keep dying the roots black. I get the change-my-haircolor urges sometimes, and I would go back to the red if it wasn't so much work!
yep, its like that

Thanks Retroharmany, I just love the colors.

And I hear what you are saying about Beyond the Zone.  I have a blue from them and it ran like crazy! Tongue

Seems like a lot of people on here use Special Effects. I've only tried Stargazer [because that is all they sell here] and it works really good!! :] I've had my blue hair for like.. maybe a month and a half to two months and i swear, it almost hasn't faded at all!! Only a tiny bit. And blue is supposed to fade really bad hah. So yeah, Stargazer is great.

p.s. Retroharmany love the pink!! Cheesy

Ok so this is my hair atm. It's defiately not the most exciting it's ever been but i'm in love with it for the moment. Excuse the stupid faces. I'm not really sure how to pose "pretty" but i do know how to do stupid!

I love this thread by the way. My favorite by far.

Edit:...Sorry just had to add a photo of the back/side. Both sides are shaved down to a #2.

I thought I'd do a hair timeline since I'm thinking about having a chop soon Smiley

The blue I currently use is Manic Panic (After Midnight Blue, Shocking Blue, or Black and Blue); it's the best I've come across in the UK, having tried the supermarket stuff, Directions and Stargazer in the past.

As for what's next, I was thinking about this cut: http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k163/luinecu2/Original.jpg
Look! I even Photoshopped it onto my head!!! Cheesy http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k163/luinecu2/Shortblue.jpg

Let's see.
I chopped off the 'hawk after mom stated how much she hated it.
Dyed it with this teal blue dye that my sister bought ages ago and had been sitting after she used it, so instead of coming out the color it should have, it came out seafoam green-ish.

Then I got bored with that, and decided yesterday to try dying my hair with kool aid.

It didn't come out as red as I would have liked it, but I can always do it again for about $0.50. Cheesy
