What do you do when you have a plain blue lampshade like this one?

Embroider stripes and star sequins of course =]

ooh- pretty!

I am thinking about doing something similar- but my shade doesn't have fabric- so I'm wondering- did you embroider right though the shade proper? If so, what does it look like at night- does the light shine thru it?

Thanks guys =]

hot_toddygal, yeah I embroidered right through it (I used a realllyyy sharp needle to get through the tough paper Wink )
It looks plainer lighted up... the stripes don't show up as much. I can take a pic, if you want?

if your shade is only paper and you use a bigger needle the light would show through the holes, I'm talking a big needle
