What is your favorite length to make your handles.(Fabric hand made handles) I have been changing my length  all the time .I make bags that are similar to JORDY bags and also totes ..I make the tote bag handles longer but I would like to know a good length for purses.Would size do you like  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I like my purse to fit nicely under my arm, so I use 22" handles (measured end to end before sewing in, and I use .5" seam allowance, so they would end up 21" finished).  Oh, and this is for purses that have 2 handles, one on each side.  Purses with one handle are all different, depending on how it's attached, the shape of the purse, etc.

Until you find something worth dying for, you're not really living.

I like purses with one strap best... not sure if that's what you're asking.  But anyway, I like to wear my purses across my body, so with a long strap, like 45" or so.

Hope that helps Smiley

For purses that I'm going to carry myself, I like them to just barely fit over my arm so they are tucked under tightly. I'm always afraid someone is going to grab my bag.  Shocked My mom prefers straps that are at least 22 inches long. Grandmother, 25 in. minimum. *shrug*

If I'm going to carry it across my body I like it to be adjustable.

20-22" works well for me.
