Ramen Noodle Zippered Pouch

Ok so I can't claim this idea as originally mine, because i think i saw it on etsy or somewher elike that. But I knew i just had to make one when i saw it.







Oh and I enjoyed the ramen noodles right after i made it! Took about 15 minutes to make. (the bag, and the noodles!)

It has clear vinyl on the outside to protect the wrapper.

what'd you folks think about it?

how do you keep the vinyl from sticking when you're sewing it?
i've tried a bunch of things with no luck!

ok well i have a couple tricks. You can sew with the vinyl side down ( i don't like this cause i can't see the actual zipper when i'm sewing). You can actually put hair conditioner on the pressure foot and the vinyl (never tried it, but this is what the lady at the fabric store told me and promised it would work). But what i do is just slightly hold the pressure foot up white i sew, it's only a shory distance so it's not really a pain.

that is just mighty righteous. I'd love to see a tutorial on that sort of thing As far as the vinyl thing, dont put conditioner or powder on your machine folks...you'll only gum up your machine in the long run. Invest in a teflon foot.

i would make one, but since i saw it somewhere else first... i wouldn't want to trample on their toes. But its basically just the regular zippered pouch tutorial. But to make it look more fluid it did not cut the bag in half. I opened all the sides but the bottom, and work from there. So instead of sewing with 2 outter and 2 inner peices, I only had 1 outer and 1 inner. I think this creates a better look for it.

Oh my gosh! That is so cute. I wish I could make something like that. But with very limited sewing skills, or none at all, I probably will fail.

Now I want some Ramen! I don't cook the noodles though. I pour in the powder and crunch the noodles all up. Yum!
