Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

Sorry for being so dense, but we're talking about the ramen packages that are flimsy and translucent, right?  How did you make the fabric stiff enough to be sewn?

BTW, this gift would be great for pastafarians!

SOOO cute! I'm going to go force someone in my household to eat ramen so I can try it out Smiley

Tissue paper on vinyl, or a teflon sewing foot both work.

Wow - this is crazy - but cool. Now I'm thinking what other packages I might be able to do something with.

Nice work! Cheesy

Thanks for the great idea!

These pouches are fun to make, although it is a bit hard to turn the vinyl inside out.

I made these for myself, my sister, and my cousins.  We're Asian, so we're sentimental about ramen noodles, which we all ate as kids (and also, regrettably, as poor college students).  It would make a cute gift for knitters too - all that ripped-back yarn looks just like ramen!

This one didn't turn out so swell.  The bag was too small.  I'm thinking a chip bag would work better (my next project).  My kids would like that as a pencil case, plus I need someone to eat the chips!
