I just started sewing and I can not figure out what to do with these handles.  Please help me.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried to hide some of the ugly stitching by putting the black over it but I still don't like the way it looks.

can you blanket stitch if so remove ribbon, and blanket stitch the ribbon around handles,it will give it a great look.or maybe use a bit of thin black cord around edges and whipstitch it on hope this helps
