So I went and got a piece of foamcore and blocked my rectangles that i sewed together. Here's a blocked one and unblocked one next to each other.  The foam core I bought already had a grid on it (you can't tell in the picture because the lines are really faint.  Anyway. I'm excited because now I know it will work better.  Haven't bought the yarn for the outside of the bag. I'm thinking brown.

Wow.  Blocking makes a big difference.  It looks even prettier!

Now, I want to make one Smiley

I love how your bags are coming out. I have the magazine and I keep going back to this bag.. I think I have to make one.. was the lining hard to make..?

I haven't made the lining yet. I'm excited to finish this bag but also am realizing that since I used sugar n cream its turning out kinda heavy.

Hey everyone!  I'm pretty far along on the LTL Bag - I've been a little obsessed with it!  Here is a photo of some of my progress.

I am using Tahki Cotton Classic, and I am loving it.  I have all twelve squares now, and I am currently trying to decide which color to use on a border around each block.

I have been very inspired by the Crochet-Along that the pattern's author created here (link) and the Flickr Group (link).

My blog has the whole story from day one here.  Looking forward to seeing everyone else's bags!

I started on my bag last night. I'm using yarn from my stash... a little patons classic wool merino and some plymouth encore. I'll post pictures on my blog tomorrow..everyone's bags are beautiful. (^_^)

I haven't picked up my bag in like a month. I guess i'm discouraged. I'm very close to done on the crochet portion but I've realized that the yarn I used has turned out too heavy. I don't know if I'll ever finish it.

You could always use fewer squares and make a smaller bag. That's probably what I'll do if I ever get around to making this.

I like to do personal swaps now and again.

I knit, crochet, and make stitch markers.

Just pm me if you wanna swap. Smiley
