I was going to buy yarn for this pattern this weekend, but at the yarn shop we got confused about the recommended yarn and its gauge... What yarn did you use? We thought using sport weight on size 2 needles might be too dense.

Thanks, everyone! I used Jo Sharp Alpaca Silk Georgette, which has a listed gauge of 25sts x 33rows on US #3 (3.25mm) needles.

Yes, the cable is made separately and then sewn on after the front and back pieces are joined at the shoulder
