I got a table from freecycle as a side table for my bedroom. It was dirty and rough when i got it so i took a power sander to it.
Official Before picture (I was cleaning it when i took this):

 I sanded it and covered the top, drawer, and bottom shelf in faux stainless steel contact paper that i got for 5.99 a role at Home Depot!! weee!

 i'm thinking that its not done. 1st im gunna put a cool pull on the drawer..and i think that im going put these 1"by 1" mirror tiles on it...in these places:(sorry this pic is so small..do u think the mirror tiles would look good here? i like the whitewash white paint look but i want to embellish some..i love the mirror furniture...feedback would be much appriciated!! i'd love a craftster viewpoint!! lol)

So far it is looking pretty cool.  I think a black iron handle would look sharp.  The one inch mirror squares might look good... though a long one inch wide mirror might look good on each side of the table as well.

I love this! Does the contact paper come off? I think I'd like to use that on my kitchen cabinets (what the landlord doesn't know can't hurt me).

Cheebz: Yeah, if i messed up it would pull off pretty easilly. I dont know about it if was on for a long time. But i don't think that it wouldn't hurt to try right? lol! i think that it would work really well for cabinets. They had cork paper too!! which would be really awsome too!!

I don't know about the mirror- think that might be overdoing it- but that's just my taste.

A nice black pull would look great- get something vintage & natural to match your unfinished wood parts. Like ceramic, or glass...

thats a good idea, you could also get like a glass hardwear pull. that would look pretty too!

I like the changes too and have to agree the mirror might be too much but I really do like the suggestions of black with it. Good work and great eye to be able to "see" the new piece!
