When my youngest brother was young. We being mean older siblings would tease him and scare the daylights out of him. Our favorite thing to scare him with was a plastic snake that we named Mr. Snakey. We would also find sticks and say they were Mr. Snakey. As such, he is 31 YO and SCARED to death of snakes. But I bet he won't be scared of these!

These are cute! How do you get them to stay coiled like that? I'd like to make a couple of these for my classroom, especially in the colors of the coral snake and the one that looks similar but isn't poisonous.

The way you crochet the snake body makes it curve like that.  The varigated snake is made from Red Heart Woodsy yarn.
