I just ordered 2 pounds, one of the black/white mix, and one white. I hope I don't have any issues with the shipment, now am a little worried. Maybe they are just really busy with all of us craftsters ordering. Do they have a number you could maybe call? Hopefully you get your order soon.

Thanks so much to knittr for this awesome find!

Must up date my comment! Just by chance, I checked my 'BULK' mailbox, or spambox, and there was the reply from Carol! All of her past messages to me have been 'spammed' in my account, but now we're working on it and she's been SUPER in her efforts to find out wha happened, so I don't think it's a reflection of her business at all! Sorry to have worried people...

I'm just glad you guys like the stuff. After all, this is what craftster is for! It's great to have a place to share with all of the fellow crafty gals. Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a thread of all the great fiber finds for spinning- (angelina fiber, wool etc.) It would make it so much easier for beginners and bargain hunters like me Smiley

oh and sockdiva- some of carol's emails went to my bulk box too. It might be a yahoo problem. who knows!

what's the difference between the "bells" and the roving? (sort of newbie spinner here) i want to order 1 lb of the greys and 1 lb of the browns, i just dont know if getting them in bells is a bad idea ( it's cheaper though)

the "bells" are kind of like pancakes of wool. It seems like it's pressed wool. It's good stuff, but for a beginner it might be a bit harder to draft. I carded them first before I spun them. You are probably better off starting with the roving. It's easier to spin if you are a newbie, since you just tear off a piece and spin!

I had been lurking on this board for forever and decided to start spinning a couple weeks ago and made a cd drop spindle. I came upon this thread and ordered my first pound of the white roving less than a week ago and it just came to my door! It is so so soft and came with a complimentary bag of brown roving as well!

What a great site! I can't wait to start spinning!

I finally ordered a pound of the black/white and WHOA!!!  It makes the pound that I bought from www.spunkyhats.com look so tiny!  There was some brown/white/black mix thrown in - reminds me of my mom's calico cat.  Cheesy

YAY!! Got all my wool!! It's WONDERFUL - so much and I'm having loads of fun with it. Carol was just great about trying to find out what happened, and when I reordered, sent it out THAT DAY for me.

I love the mohair in there. I also ordered some blue, that's very dark navy, and also has mohair content. I wish it was summer vacation already!!
