Man, I wish I had the cash for that much.  I need the time to spin, too.

I just ordered 3 pounds! I'm so excited.  Cheesy I got 2 lbs. of white mill ends and a pound of the black. Now, the waiting begins...

edit: I got my wool today! It's so soft! And I got about 4 ounces of lovely black/turquoise roving as an extra.

I have a question for all you that have ordered, and Live in Canada.   I was about to put an order through, but the shipping was as much as the fiber!!!  is that fairly normal?  I don't know if its worth the shipping cost... or maybe it is?

I live in the US and the shipping is MORE than the fiber...I thought if I bought a lot at one time that would help even out the price, but the shipping actually goes up by about a dollar for each pound of wool you buy...so I'm waiting to buy until I have $60-70 laying around that I'm willing to spend. e_e;;

Yeah, it is pretty normal, and I am in the US.  Even with the shipping, it is still an awesome deal.  A pound of kinda gross fiber from my local spinning shop runs $2/oz.  SSS fiber is really nice to spin and is crazy cheap.  I am down to my last bit of fiber so I am going to have to put in an order sometime soon.

 Smiley ..........Belladune dear...........I do an awful lot of shipping (my DH and I are selling off our diecast collection as we've both developed new hobbies).............and I've done some shipping to Canada.  Postal rates are outrageous everywhere...........but with SSS orders..........you ALWAYS get your money's worth.   I ordered the 15 # grab bag..............and when it came in I initially thought the box was kind of small for 15 #................but that stuffs grows............. Shocked  I think in the long run it'd be worth the expense...............but if you really want to save on shipping.............I'd post around and see if you can find an ordering buddy........perhaps you could find someone relatively close who'd like to order too..........and you can both save on shipping.............. Wink

thanks lissaw, I guess I'm just used to smaller shiping charges, because I mostly purchase/send smaller things.    Seeing 3$ on a 2 oz listing on etsy, or 4 oz of fiber it doesn't seem like much, but then I guess this is 15 POUNDS which is alot more then just 4 oz.  I've got to think it out first then see that its not that excessive.

I'll jump in and say that I think SSS shipping is outrageous, so much so that I've stopped buying wool from them.They used to have the cheapest wool available but that's just not true anymore; ounce for ounce, once shipping is factored in, it's as much if not more than wool from other online retailers.
